October 15, 2012
     Today they began the adding on to the house. They want to get the area dug for the footings; however the "diggers" thought the awning would be down already. Therefore they only did a little.
This project started when we kknew we needed to replace the front window. I said to Jay, "How about we have a bay window built?"
     A few days later Jay said, "Why don't we add on?" So this is the result. We are building on 750 square feet. The kitchen will be bigger, as will the living room. Next to the living room will be a bedroom/office. We are excited but a little anxious. We will have to make many decisions. I don't like to make cedisions. At least Jay has good taste and know what looks good. We thought a few of you might be interested in the progress, so we will try to post daily or at least as things change and happen.

The first day they tore out the shurbs and flowers.  I think Jay felt a little nostalgic about his landscaping being trashed. They were going to do more digging but the porch and awning had to come down first.
